When worn the dangles flicker just above the heart
Silver, hand carved Chinese turquoise and carnelian beads, patterned
beads are original polymer clay pieces designed and handmade by the
Audrey Forcier…drop in and visit her shop ‘Curiosities’ in
Trinidad, Colorado.
This one of a kind necklace was designed and created by Forcier, an
accomplished American jewelry artisan/ designer using her own and vintage
elements. The heart is vintage high grade German silver, probably from
the Balouch tribe, made in India . Seldom is this quality and form
of traditional silverwork found these days. The heart’s face
features a matt finished carnelian set in an ornate hand worked setting.
Carnelian has long been used to represent healthy blood and a strong
life force. The reverse side displays an embellished polymer clay sunburst
of fiery energy, radiating from the chakra center. Patterns you see
in the polymer beads including the chakra energy rays are composed
of miniscule layers, strips, and specks of polymer clay, each color
added one at a time by the artist in a tedious, time consuming process.
