This is an elegant and contemporary creation with an ancient symbolism. The circle, or disk is found in Chinese tradition as well as Celtic and Native American.
For me it holds the meaning of continuity, cycles, balance completion and being whole. Its reminds me that simplicity in life is an art, and to avoid emotional clutter.
The rich emerald color and patterning in this malachite disk is so beautiful I couldn’t bring myself to cover it with any other beads or ornaments. Tiny matte beads separate the malachite rondelles. I added a sterling eye bead near the clasp for good wishes to whomever wears this piece.
