Firebird & Amethyst Necklace

My painting Firebird, inspired by the Russian tale of the Firebird, also symbolizes for me the phoenix, a creature of transformation and positive change. She soars into the sunset above a newly risen crescent moon, trees, and deepening night sky.
Like the dove, I’ve placed an olive branch in her beak, because the transformation has resulted in her becoming a messenger of peace and harmony.
The necklace is a string of luscious deep purple, faceted semi precious amethyst beads. In this photo they are a little darker than in reality.
The pendant is accented by vintage Czech beads in a pale mint shade, clear faceted quartz, and new Czech beads of a deep garnet color.
