Pendulum 3.5”, necklace is adjustable.
One of a kind art glass necklace designed by Helena
Nelson – Reed
using elegant, simple glass pendulum created by talented American
glass artisan Stevie Belle, sterling Hill Tribe elements. A tiny
silver fern frond spiral drop coils at the base, not visible
in photo.
This abstract, winged piece represents equilibrium and the element of
water. Think of the way we float and feel weightless when swimming,
perfectly balanced. The fetus in the womb, safe and warm, primordial waters.
And of course, fairie folk of the waters; mermaids and water nymphs! The
main talisman is flanked by silver fin (or wing?) shaped elements on a
cord. Look closely and see the goddess spirals on either side of each
fan shaped fin. The spirals represent seashells, the goddess, life energy,
the life journey. Tiny droplets of sterling silver are fused onto the
bead’s
surface, like delicate bubbles spiraling ‘round its form. This stream
lined pendulum can be worn as is on its adjustable leather cord, or easily
transferred to your necklace of choice. The play of light and color through
its depths are intriguing, like dappled shades dancing through shallow
streams, the movement of fishes beneath the rippling waters of a shallow
forest stream. This pendulum would be great for anyone with an affinity
for water, it’s almost fish like and very soothing when held in
the hand. Has a good steady swing.
